A nice read on a hot afternoon. I did get up out of my chair for lunch, and to hang out laundry, but it was so easy to sit back down and continue with the story.
I always give her works a try. Some I have liked, others I haven't. Glad I didn't miss out on this one.

Wow, I am so impressed. You are a speedster reader! I am awfully slow, but still enjoy reading. I just finished The Memory Keepers Daughter. Have you read it. It was ok, I found the language and writing quite excellent, but the story rather predictable, so I was a little disappointed.
Don't forget I have a grown up son who doesn't need a lot of attention and a retired husband. I have hours to read that I didn't have years ago.....and sometimes I manage hit a streak with lots of books that interest me.
I didn't care for the storyline in Memory Keepers, so didn't finish it.
I have this theory that there are only so many books I can read in a lifetime so I pass on anything that doesn't grab me right away.
I can reject 4 and read one when I bring home a pile from the library.
