Mother's Day

Instead of giving me a rose that while looking fabulous for a day to two would only die, Stephen gave me a chocolate one that will last less than a day but put a big sweet smile on my face.

Add in the Lindt truffles and I'll be in choco-heaven til the last one melts on my tongue. He won't give cards because he considered them a waste of money but he does know what his mother likes! (with a little prompting from his father )

Paul and I went out for brunch at one of my favourite restaurants and stuffed ourselves silly. Thankfully the sun was shining, yesterdays rain and high winds having stopped, so we added in a wander through the shops on Locke St. I had wanted to see the new cheese shop and it was full of gourmet treats beyond my imagination as well as the best selection of cheeses I have seen in a long time.

I got an added surprise when I turned on the computer, Paul and Stephen having found and installed a Mother's Day desktop greeting.

This motherhood gig does have some decent perks.
