Time to redecorate

The kitchen walls are looking good. I managed to apply some of the first colour coat with a special roller for rough finishes. It certainly saved me time but the final coat had to be brushed on to ensure full coverage. It was worth the work. It is one of those jobs that makes you think: "why did I wait so long?" The answer: " I wasn't ready for the work involved before."

The clock and the weather station .. temperature, humidity and barometer ... are back up but the rest of the area around the table where we have breakfast, lunch and where I set my laptop is bare.

I'm not putting the old stuff back up so I think I'll get Stephen to tweak some of my holiday photos from England and France, mat and frame them.

Today is my birthday. My 62nd birthday. Don't feel a day over 30.

I just found your blog. Nice pictures. I'm flagging it. Where in Canada are you? I'm Vancouver Island. Windy and cool today but the tomatoes are warm and snug in the greenhouse.

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear Elizabeth,
Happy birthday to you!!!!

Sometimes things take a little time to mull over before embarking - you appreciate the end result that much more.

And you look like you are going to have a great holiday!

Happy birthday, Elizabeth! Hope your day was filled with things you WANTED to do.
Sprucing up can be a fun process, but as you said....you have to wait until you're ready to tackle all the work involved. I'm still waiting.
Your photos are wonderful. I'm sure it will give you much pleasure to have them up where you'll see them every day.

Hi doug. Hamilton, Ont. About halfway between Toronto and Niagara Falls.

Saw your poppy photos. Mine have yet to open but my iris are blooming. My tomato plants went in 2 weeks ago and are haven't grown much thanks to cool temps.

Heading your way in July/Aug. We are staying in Victoria and doing a west coast tour.

Thanks all. We had a lovely dinner out and I am celebrating all week long. *grin*

Happy belated birthday! It is certainly a good thing to feel young and not feel one's age. I feel that way at (almost) 40 and I hope I continue to feel that way.

Very belated birthday wishes here too, E. How the heck did your birthday sneak up again so quickly?!

Very impressed with your handywoman achievements. And the photos will look fantastic on the wall!
