What we did on Friday the 13th

Every Friday the 13th the sleepy Lake Erie town of Port Dover, Ontario becomes biker heaven. Paul loves going to see the bikes. This is just a fraction of the crowd heading in. They estimated that well over 100,000 people attended this year.
I wasn't one of them.

I stayed home and rented two movies.

The Holiday: Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Jack Black.
It was like watching a romance novel. Not great but not bad.

Keeping Mum: Rowan Atkinson, Kristin Scott Thomas, Maggie Smith
Only the English can make movies like this. It had me laughing out loud from the start. Worth a look if you haven't seen it.

I think I'd rather stay home and read a book or watch a movie too. Not big on motorised transport. Now if it were pushbikes....!!!!

EVERY Friday the 13th? Yikes!! I guess...maybe there aren't that many in a year...
That's a lot of people to invade a small town. We have a "Surf and Sun" run every summer that brings all sorts of bikers to our beaches for the weekend, but never, ever, that many!
You are wise to stay home. I'm going to check out Keeping Mum. I haven't heard of it before...but I love Enlgish humor. Which reminds me, I've got the DVD of "The Queen" put away, and haven't seen it yet! Good grief.

Hmm both movies I have wondered about...thanks for the reviews.

And the biker week? I would HAVE to go just for the morbid curiosity of the thing.
