A perfect weekend for working on the bathroom

But we didn't.

We went to the mall on Saturday. With Father's Day coming next weekend there are lots of sales currently happening. With Paul and Stephen both needing new summer bathrobes, it seemed a good idea to shop.
Found them on sale.....30% off.

Today arrived with perfect weather for a trip to the park for the Turkish Canadian Festival. The whole idea sounded like fun so we headed down with the idea of trying as many different food items as possible.

The above dish is a flour, cumin, pepper mix served cold on lettuce with tomato and lemon. Paul tried a wee taste and pronounced it excellent and as it was unlike anything we had tried before we gave it a go. I took one bite and almost died.
Blew my socks off.
Not eating that again.

This was much better. We watched them roll out the dough and fill it with feta cheese and parsley and cook it on the small burners. Butter was brushed on and it was served nice and hot. Delicious. Music and dancing at the band shell filled the afternoon. It was getting very hot by the time these young dancers performed, but they didn't miss a step or drop their smiles.

It's not that we are easily distracted but life really isn't about fresh paint.

Yum that sounds delicious!
Thanks for the Fathers Day reminder - that always gets me - F.D is in Septmeber in Australia.
I am glad you had good weather over there, it rained all weekend here and was as bleak as if it were winter.

Mmmm - that feta and parsley thing looks good - the other thing may work on your bathroom project, you don't know!
